Though in your letter of the 16th inst. you do not claim me as an acquaintance, I have not forgotten our conversation previously at the India House. You are probably aware that an enquiry into the electoral corruption at Reigate is to be moved for by the Chairman of the Committee, and I presume that, as a matter of course the issue of a new writ will in the meantime be responded.
