American jazz singer.

“Lady Day” (a nickname given to her by her friend and musical partner Lester Young) had a seminal influence on jazz and pop singing. Billie Holiday co-wrote only a few songs but several of them have become jazz standards, notably “God Bless the Child,” “Don’t Explain,” “Dine and Mellow,” and “Lady Sings the Blues.”
Framed (with a photograph, in a cream inner mat and a gray outer mat, in a decorative black and gold frame) dimensions: 13 7/8 inches wide by 12 inches high.
