It is with much pleasure that I show you the joy this event has given me, the sincerity of which Your Majesty cannot doubt, in view of the great pleasure in renewing on this occasion feelings of tender and perfect friendship…” Marie Antoinette herself had given birth to the ling awaited heir of the dauphin, the King and Queen had been married for eight childless years.
Matted in light blue and silver with an engraving of the Queen Marie Antoinette. In a carved silver gilt frame measuring 18 inches wide by 12 inches high.
